Business Of The Year 2004 Finalist
November 2004
Bhanji Gokaldas the company behind Pure Jewels, based in Green Street, Forest Gate, were a finalist at the prestigious East London and Essex Business Awards 2004 in the business of the year category.
These prestigious awards are an annual event, presented by Recorder Newspapers and Principal Sponsor HSBC, the world's local bank, with support from leading companies in the area.
The awards recognise excellence amongst the business community. The 'Business of The Year' category is awarded to businesses who demonstrate an excellence within a number of business disciplines. Judges of this category look for evidence of how a business has been innovative within their field and how this innovation has impacted on the bottom line. How the strategies of the business have enabled it to develop and grow, and through its commitment to investment in product, service and staff has gained a competitive advantage over its competition.
"This award is an opportunity for us to look at our business critically and also helps to reinforce our brand message and gives us a stronger foundation to grow as a company" says Jayant Raniga, brand director of Pure Jewels. Pure Jewels is the online and mail order brand of Bhanji Gokaldas.
