Inspiration
Sikhs use the Kirpan, a smaller version of the sword, as a religious symbol to remind them of their responsibility to resist injustice and retain spiritual independence. Kirpan was one of the five spiritual elements that Sikhs would religiously carry with them, together with Kesh, Kangha, Kachera, and Kada, as a mark of their devotion to God and to show their commitment to the Sikh Rehni or “the Sikh way of life”.
