A foxtail chain uses two rows of angled oval links woven together, creating a flat, ribbon-like surface that reflects light along its length. It is smooth, flexible, and the most popular daily wear ladies chain style. A spiga (or wheat) chain uses figure-of-eight shaped links twisted and braided together, creating a rounded, 3D chain with a subtly textured surface. The spiga is slightly more delicate in appearance and is particularly beautiful in fine (1mm) versions. Both are excellent daily wear choices — the foxtail is more visible at finer weights; the spiga is more intricate in close-up detail.
