Jewellery Repair - Terms & Conditions

PureJewels may document each piece with high-resolution photographs prior to commencing work. These images are used strictly for security, insurance, and quality control purposes.

Third‑Party Items and Modifications

Jewellery that has been previously altered or repaired by others is accepted at the customer’s risk. Compatibility with prior craftsmanship cannot be assured.

Liability for External Gemstones or Components

We are pleased to work with customer-supplied stones or elements; however, we cannot be held liable for any internal flaws or treatments not visible to the naked eye. Work involving such items is undertaken at the customer’s sole risk.

Use of Original Components

Where feasible, we will preserve original clasps, links, and mounts. If safety or durability requires replacement, we will inform you and seek your approval prior to making any changes.

Stone Matching and Replacement

In cases requiring gemstone replacement, we will strive to match the original in size, colour, and clarity. However, exact matches may not always be possible. Your approval will be sought before any alternatives are sourced.

Repair Warranty

All PureJewels repairs are covered by a 90-day warranty against workmanship defects. This excludes damage resulting from accidental impact, misuse, or general wear. Claims beyond this period may be assessed and subject to charges. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Re-Polishing and Cleaning Risks

Processes such as polishing, rhodium plating, and ultrasonic cleaning may reveal or aggravate pre-existing flaws. We proceed with the utmost care, but PureJewels cannot accept liability for damage caused by inherent weaknesses within the item.

Environmental or Chemical Damage

Damage resulting from exposure to perfumes, household chemicals, cosmetics, chlorinated water, or similar agents is not covered under warranty. We encourage clients to follow our jewellery care guidelines to preserve their treasures.

Timeframes and Delays

All time estimates are provided in good faith and may be subject to change due to material availability, design complexity, or seasonal demand. Customers will be promptly informed of any significant delays.

Engraving and Personalisation

All engraving requests must be confirmed in writing. PureJewels cannot accept responsibility for errors arising from customer-submitted text. Personalised pieces may not be eligible for alteration after engraving.

Valuation and Reappraisal

We recommend updating your valuation after substantial repair work or gemstone replacement. This service is available through PureJewels upon request and is subject to a fee.

Digital Communication and Consent

We may use digital platforms such as WhatsApp, SMS, or email to share updates, images, and obtain approvals. By engaging our services, you consent to communication via these means, in accordance with GDPR and privacy standards.

Abandoned Property (Unclaimed After 5 Years)
