Hallmarking is the official process of independently verifying the precious metal content of a jewellery piece, ensuring it meets legal standards of purity.
At this stage, PureJewels works with the Edinburgh Assay Office, which has recently introduced Hallmarking 2.0, a pioneering initiative that connects traditional hallmarking with blockchain traceability. Each piece receives a unique physical and digital identifier, linking it to a secure Digital Product Passport. This allows the full journey of the piece, from precious metal to finished jewel, to be independently verified and offers our clients greater trust, transparency and digital assurance.
