PureJewels say supporting craftsmanship is key to development of UK jewellery industry
LONDON, December 19, 2022 – PureJewels, a design-led London-based jewellery brand, retailer and manufacturer, are sponsoring the 2022/23 Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship & Design awards, highlighting their support for development of artisanal skills across the UK industry.
“We are passionate about preserving the heritage of our craft and encouraging the innovators of the future. The Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship & Design Council champions the very skills and ideas in our industry that we are dedicated to supporting, and as a sponsor we are excited to be upholding these principles,” PureJewels said in a statement.
PureJewels CEO Jayant Raniga said: “We strive to promote artisanal excellence, manufacturing with a keen focus on handcrafting, and innovative design. As a British brand, we support our industry by sourcing much of our production and design through local craftspeople — craftspeople and designers who are encouraged to thrive with the promotion of the Goldsmiths’ Awards.”
Anne-Marie Reeves, Chair of the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council, said: “Council is delighted to have the valuable support of PureJewels for the forthcoming Competition. The vision of both partners for the pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship and design and to stimulate and encourage the talent we have, works hand in hand. We very much look forward to a positive future.”
